About Little Jak's Pantry, Tyldesley

There has been a cafe and takeaway established at this address since 1985, and it has been named Little Jak's Pantry since April 2006 when we took over from the previous owners. It is run by Melanie and Susan who between them share over 25 years experience in the catering trade, having served at various levels of the business from cafes, takeaways and restaurants, to hotels and the leisure and entertainments industry. They have made Little Jak's into one of the best cafes and caterers in Tyldesley and the surrounding area.

Customer Testimonials
Since taking over, we have lost count of the number of customers who have remarked on how much the cafe has improved:- the food tastes better, staff are friendlier and more helpful, and the premises look cleaner and brighter. And when customers frequently tell us we should put our prices up, we know we must be doing something right!

Celebrity Diner
Not long after taking over, we were visited by a member of the Royle family, when actor Ricky Tomlinson and a film crew called in the cafe for something to eat. They had been filming around Astley and Leigh for a TV documentary about the coal mining industry called Disappearing Britain, which was first shown on Channel Five in early 2007.
